Twyford railway station's parking facility

These are a couple of pictures of the parking facility for bicycles at Twyford Station.
They were taken at 9.30AM on a snowy Monday morning.

As you can see from the pictures, the bike rack is sheltered, and offers adequate space for the current cycling population. It is also apparently secured by CCTV.

It is obvious to me though that, as cycling will become more and more popular over the next decade, more cycling facilities, including parking ones, will have to be put in place.

The parking lot is usually quite crowded, especially in the summer, and especially so after 9 AM.
But don't despair, as there is plenty of hard furniture at the station where you can lock your bike.

Just for reference, the bike rack is between platform 4 and 5.

Access is currently available from Station Road, but it is perfectly possible to carry the bike on the bridge from and to Hurst Road.

Using the bridge might be preferable to negotiating traffic at peak times.

Those of you who like me travel to and from Maidenhead off-peak, will be glad to know cycles are permitted on the trains.

Trains from Twyford to Maidenhead leave from platform 4, which is directly accessible from Station Road, where you will also find self-service ticket machines. At Maidenhead the doors will open on the same side you climb on at Twyford.

When travelling from Maidenhead, the train will arrive at platform 3. This requires you to be able to carry your bicycle up the stairs on to the bridge.

I haven't yet explored other options such as using the lift for disabled passengers, so please check with the station manager before you arrive.
